En Tiempos de Guerra is the debut release from Chilean artist 1879. While certainly themed around battles and war related topics, En Tiempos de Guerra is steeped in the significant historical event known as the "War of the Pacific" which helped frame modern South America. Musically, 1879 is black metal to the core with buzzing guitars and blasting drums complementing the sinister vocal work.
